Business Description
An eleven-store cannabis retail portfolio serving small and mid-sized Ontario communities is available for acquisition. The network was built on a contrarian model: small-format, low-cost, high-throughput stores opened in towns that had no cannabis retailer at all. The majority of these locations are currently the sole cannabis retailer in their community.
The business is profitable and founder-led. The vendor is reallocating capital to another Canadian market and is offering the Ontario network as a whole.
PORTFOLIO HIGHLIGHTS
- Currently uncontested catchments. Most locations are the only cannabis retailer in their community, a position earned by arriving first.
- Revenue from day one. Eleven locations trading between three and a half and five years, with authorizations granted, build-outs complete, staff in place and an established customer base. No construction period and no ramp-up.
- A lean cost structure. 683 square foot average footprint, single-staff operation, base rent at 3.8% of revenue, and roughly 250 SKUs including accessories against the 400 to 1,000 carried by conventional retailers.
- Additional revenue from trade-marketing and data agreements. Agreements with licensed producers contributed approximately $706,000 over the trailing twelve months, attributable to these eleven locations. Terms and post-closing continuity are addressed in diligence.
- Single-entity ownership. The portfolio is held through one corporation, with no layered or intermediated control arrangements.
- Platform included. Operating team, technology stack, supplier arrangements and customer database available to transfer, with scope confirmed in diligence.
